Volunteers are an integral part of running the Good Life Community. Volunteering is simple: just sign up as a member and you can come to in to volunteer at any time. Jobs done by volunteers run from cleaning up the shop, helping with administrative work,  sorting parts, greeting people or stripping or fixing bikes. No mechanical experience is necessary! We welcome people of all ages and experience levels.

When you come into the shop to volunteer make sure to sign in with a Greaser, and feel free to ask for guidance. If you’ve never been to the shop, we’d be happy to give you a quick orientation. If you’re looking for a more structured introduction to the shop or you just want to hang out with some sweet people while volunteering, we have monthly‚ Volunteer Nights, during which we eat snacks, do shop orientations and group volunteer projects.

Volunteering at the Good Life Community Bicycle Shop is a great way to improve or learn mechanical skills, meet great people and contribute to the community!

Volunteers are the backbone of the Good Life Community Bicycle Shop. Volunteers research grant opportunities, do fundraising drives, created this website, design posters for the Good Life, plan parties, and more! If you are interested in any of these administrative volunteers tasks, email info at goodlifebikes.ca or liam at goodlifebikes.ca or come to our monthly meeting, the Box Social. Box Socials are the 1st Tuesday after Critical Mass (a monthly bike ride that is the last Friday of the month) at 6:30 at the Good Life; check out our calendar to see the exact date of the next meeting. Everyone interested in volunteering for admin tasks or on this steering committee is welcome.
